The Grand Island Islanders stopped the College Park, 15-4, at Ballpark of Morelia HS. The Islanders got a big game from Daniel Elliott, who was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Islanders raised their record to 2-2.

Elliott contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Grand Island in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Elliott took a cutter from Isaiah Wynter and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Islanders to leap in front, 2-1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Elliott said.
