Barber goes 4-for-5, Chargers Move to 2-1
Topeka West designated hitter David Barber picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the George Washington Patriots, 7-6. The Chargers, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Christian Rone went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Topeka West. The 14-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Yuuchi Kimura. It was his 3rd walk of the season.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Topeka West manager Jack Fannon.
