The Jacksonville State Jaguars beat the Enterprise Hornets, 15-10, at Chickenhawks Stadium. Jacksonville State first baseman Mike Chmelik earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Losses have been few and far between for the Hornets so far this season. Their record drops to 2-1.

With Jacksonville State trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the third, Chmelik hit a fastball from Bob Thibault for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Jaguars ahead, 4-3.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Jeromy Hager.
