Getting a good performance from third baseman Bruce Allison, the Pleasantville Panthers defeated the Riverside Poly, 9-3. Allison went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Panthers. Ryan Dudzinski, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Poly to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 5. Pleasantville, now 2-0, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Allison contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Pleasantville in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Allison took a slider from John Radtke and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Panthers to leap in front, 6-3.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Allison said.
