Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Jacksonville State Jaguars were eager to watch Mike Flores square off against Aaron Buckley of the visiting Enterprise Hornets. In the end, the Hornets won the game, 8-5, with Kyle Harris earning player of the game honors. The save went to Vic Fielding, his 1st this season.

Brett Beaver aided the Enterprise cause with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder was 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Beaver.
