Balcome Helps Legends Run Win Streak to 4
|
Pearce Balcome made an impact in the 9-4 Saskatoon win over Victoria. Balcome, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The winner was Bob MacKay, who threw 82 pitches over 5 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. The Legends bumped their record to 34-20 with this latest triumph.
Balcome had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Legends went on to win.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Balcome told the Saskatoon News.
