Outlaws Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Kelowna
|
The Calgary Outlaws topped the Kelowna Heat, 7-5, with youngster John MacLeod playing a key role. MacLeod went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Outlaws in the win. Calgary reliever Joe Chute picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Kevin Palmer was saddled with the loss. Picking up the save was Carl Kurucz, his 8th.
The Outlaws got a big at-bat from center fielder Floyd Templeman. For the game, Templeman went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Calgary a 4-0 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," MacLeod said after the game.
Calgary is now riding a 3-game win streak.
