Kelowna rode a decent outing from starter Bill Montgomery to victory over the Montreal Royales at Brantford College Grounds. The final score was 4-3. Tom Simpson locked down his 9th save. The Heat bumped their record to 25-24 with this latest triumph.

Jason Leahy, who is tied for 4th in the LBL in home runs with 17, aided the Kelowna cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.
