Ballpark of Chilliwack College was the site of a competitive game between the Montreal Royales and Victoria Capitals.

Victoria got a strong outing from Dennis Parry as the Capitals defeated the Montreal Royales, 3-2, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Parry, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Bill Acheson earned the save for Victoria, his 4th.

Kip Waltenbery aided the Victoria cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
