Colvin goes 3-for-3 to Power Saints Offense
|
Saints designated hitter Dale Colvin put his stamp on his team's 4-2 win over the Calgary Outlaws. Colvin was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Trois-Rivieres in the contest. The win was Steven Pinnell's in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Bob McConnell took the loss for Calgary. Waldo Perron closed the door for Trois-Rivieres, picking up his 6th save of the year.
Colvin had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Bob McConnell, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Saints a 4-2 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Colvin.
Colvin told a Trois-Rivieres Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 15-32 record.
