Blazers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Bloomington and Hawaii duked it out at Aloha Stadium and the Blazers came out victorious.
The Bloomington Blazers topped the Hawaii Islanders, 5-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Aloha Stadium. The player of the game was Bloomington pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native Pedro Vazquez. Bloomington has now won 4 games in a row.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from catcher Yeijiro Sato. For the game, Sato went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Sato. "I think we showed that here."
