The Kelowna Heat defeated the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 5-3. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Jason Leahy, who was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kelowna reliever Ken Oxford picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Luke Richard absorbed the loss. Tom Simpson got the save, the 8th for him this season.

Had Leahy not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Leahy drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Heat never looked back after taking the 4-3 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Leahy said.

Kelowna bumps their record to 22-23 with the win.
