Poulin 4-5, Legends Move to 27-13
|
The Saskatoon Legends topped the Montreal Royales by the score of 7-1, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Carl Poulin. Poulin was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Legends. Saskatoon has now won 6 straight.
Rick Petzinger was 1 for 3 with a walk for Saskatoon. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Mike Norton. It was his 15th walk of the season.
