Multi-HR Day for Bryant as Monarchs Overpower Outlaws, 6-1
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old right fielder Eli Bryant, the London Monarchs stopped the Calgary Outlaws, 6-1. Zack Hogan got the win, improving to 3-4. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. Bart Woodward earned the save for London, his 1st.

Bryant had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Bob McConnell, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Monarchs a 4-1 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Bryant.

"I really like what we did out there today," Bryant said after the game.

The Outlaws, at 21-18, have lost 5 in a row.
