Royales Come Up Short at Victoria
|
It was a good time at Ballpark of Chilliwack College, where fans came to watch the Montreal Royales and Victoria Capitals get after it.
The Victoria Capitals bested the Montreal Royales, 7-6, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Bill Bartlatt was named player of the game. He was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Victoria reliever Karl Morris picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Alan Best was collared with the loss. Bill Acheson earned the save for Victoria, his 3rd.
Bartlatt had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Capitals went on to win.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Bartlatt.
Victoria is now riding a 3-game win streak.
