The Montreal Royales knocked off the Calgary Outlaws, 8-7, at Eliminators Ballpark. Garland Rolfe, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Montreal won. The second baseman went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Stephen Lau was credited with the save for Montreal, his 9th of the season. Montreal has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Rolfe had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Dave Cuff, he banged a 2-run single to center, giving the Royales a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th hit of the year for Rolfe.

"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Rolfe.
