The Outlaws had to overcome a fine performance from Trois-Rivieres pitcher Ralph Martell to grab a 3-2 win at Corvettes Ballpark. Martell allowed 3 earned runs over 6 innings. Bob McConnell, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 4 innings. Earning his 5th save of the year was Carl Kurucz.
Randy Stackhouse, who is tied for 2nd in the LBL in runs scored with 36, aided the Calgary cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We put together a nice win," Stackhouse said.
The losing streak for Trois-Rivieres has now reached 8 games.
