Victory Pushes Outlaws Record to 19-13
John MacLeod was instrumental in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Niagara Stars. The shortstop went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Calgary Outlaws. Calgary reliever Dwayne Stapleton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Arvin Fox shouldered the loss. Carl Kurucz picked up the save, his 4th.

Cody Bayles aided the Calgary cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Bayles after the game.

The Outlaws go to 19-13, putting them second in the Lester B. Person League West Division.
