Saskatoon starter Jason Keeping pitched effectively against the Victoria Capitals at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. The right-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. Keeping picked up the win for Saskatoon, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Jim Reusch finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Pearce Balcome, who is tied for 9th in the LBL in hits with 38, aided the Saskatoon cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4.
