Marauders Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Maple Marauders topped the Santa Fe Fuego, 6-4, in Thurman Munson League action at The Fire House. The player of the game was Maple pitcher and North Vancouver, Canada native Steve McBryde. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Maple.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from center fielder Pat Schmoll. For the game, Schmoll went 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Maple a 6-4 lead.
In postgame remarks, McBryde simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
