Legends Prevail, 4-2, Over Calgary

The Saskatoon Legends got a good effort from starter Walton Varner in defeating the Calgary Outlaws at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The final score was 4-2. Jim Reusch locked down his 2nd save. The Legends bumped their record to 19-12 with this latest triumph.
Carl Poulin swatted a 2-run home run for Saskatoon in the bottom of the fifth. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"I liked his command," said Saskatoon manager Allen Cummings. "Walton was throwing strikes."
