Vancouver Pioneers starter Kenko Samurakami turned in a top-notch performance against the Georgia Grays at The Death Star. The result was a win for the Pioneers, 4-2. The 4th-place Pioneers improved to 34-40.

Had Yoshiro Allen not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Allen hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Pioneers.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Samurakami.
