The Saskatoon Legends got a superb performance from pitcher Zach Arrington. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Victoria. The Capitals won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Arrington was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Victoria is now 13-15, Saskatoon 16-12.
The Capitals got a big at-bat from shortstop Bill Bartlatt. For the game, Bartlatt was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 24th hit of the season gave Victoria a 4-3 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bartlatt.
