Stars Fall Short at Kelowna
Brantford College Grounds was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Kelowna Heat and the Niagara Stars.

The Kelowna Heat trumped the Niagara Stars, 8-7, at Brantford College Grounds. Kelowna first baseman Jason Leahy was named player of the game for his performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The Heat bumped their record to 16-11 with this latest triumph.

The Heat were down to their final out when pinch hitter Cody Schultz turned a first pitch fastball from Rich Neilson into a 2-run double. The walk-off double made the Brantford College Grounds crowd go wild.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Schultz said after the game.
