Victory Pushes Islanders Record to 46-31
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Tokuhei Taniguchi, the Hawaii Islanders defeated the Rubber City Rhinos, 11-5. Taniguchi went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Islanders. Ehrich Weiss was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Hawaii has 3 straight wins, Rubber City 3 straight losses.
