Saints Win at Saskatoon, 3-2
|
The Trois-Rivieres Saints topped the Saskatoon Legends, 3-2, with youngster Jim Caron playing a key role. Caron was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Saints in the win. Trois-Rivieres is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Saints got a big at-bat from right fielder Tom Horne. For the game, Horne was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Trois-Rivieres a 3-2 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Saskatoon skipper Allen Cummings, "and it cost us."
