Great Day for Hodgson -- 5 Hits
|
Dan Hodgson put on a hitting clinic today as the Calgary Outlaws dumped the London Monarchs 12-7 at Hatchets Ballpark.
The Calgary first baseman made London defenders earn their pay, lashing London pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Hodgson said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Dan Hodgson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
So far this year Hodgson is batting .359 with 12 home runs, 31 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
