It was a fun time at Blue Wings Ballpark, where the Niagara Stars and Trois-Rivieres Saints tangled.
The Trois-Rivieres Saints defeated the Niagara Stars, 12-0, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Blue Wings Ballpark, with Trois-Rivieres first baseman Bennett Conroy named player of the game. Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 8-16 record.
Michael Noseworthy, who leads the LBL in stolen bases with 6, aided the Trois-Rivieres cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
Niagara manager Don Cooper called the blowout loss "ugly."
