The Calgary Outlaws and Saskatoon Legends played an exciting game at Corvettes Ballpark.

The Saskatoon Legends got a superb performance from left fielder Carl Poulin, but the Calgary Outlaws still won the game, 4-2. Poulin was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Bob McConnell got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3.1 innings.

Dan Hodgson, who is tied for 4th in the LBL with a .817 slugging percentage, chipped in for Calgary with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hodgson said.
