Montreal right-hander Mike Norton made an effective start against the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Eliminators Ballpark, leading his team to a 5-2 win. The winning pitcher was Norton, now 1-3. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. Stephen Lau sewed up the save, his 4th.

Richard Adamic aided the Montreal cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Adamic.

The Royales now own a record of 8-14.
