Victory Pushes Blazers Record to 44-30
|
Bloomington starter Victor Hernandez pitched effectively against the Mile High Mustangs at Arson Arena. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. In 5.2 innings, Hernandez surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Jim Obershaw converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Camden Mansel. For the game, Mansel went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Bloomington a 2-1 lead.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Hernandez.
