Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Capitals
The Victoria Capitals dealt the Kelowna Heat a 9-7 loss at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Chris Neale was the star on offense. He was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Victoria reliever Rich Tanner picked up the win to move to 1-2. Jack Agnew suffered the loss. The Capitals saw their win-loss record go to 8-13. At the same time, the Heat fell to 13-8.

Rick Pépin, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Capitals organization, chipped in for Victoria with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 12th. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Bill Hilliard said.
