Legends Need Extra Frames to Get Past Monarchs

Bill Barlow did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the London Monarchs from losing, 4-3, to the Saskatoon Legends at Ballpark of Red Deer College. Barlow went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The Legends bumped their record to 12-8 with this latest triumph.
Saskatoon won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Harry Ayotte on the mound for London, designated hitter Burt Kavanagh hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Legends fans to their feet.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Kavanagh told the Saskatoon News.
