Saints Win at London, 5-2
|
Trois-Rivieres and London duked it out at Hatchets Ballpark and the Saints came out victorious.
The Trois-Rivieres Saints stopped the London Monarchs, 5-2, at Hatchets Ballpark. The Saints got a big game from Dale Colvin, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Ben Evans got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 5.2 innings. Waldo Perron locked down his 1st save.
Colvin came through with some timely hitting for Trois-Rivieres. With the score 1-1 in the top of the fifth and two down, Colvin hit a first pitch fastball for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made it 4-1, Trois-Rivieres.
"Nice to get this one," said Colvin. "Wins have been hard to come by."
Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 5-12 record.
