Heat Bang Out 10-7 Win Versus Calgary
|
Kelowna third baseman Eric Leveque had 5 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Calgary Outlaws, 10-7. Kelowna reliever Ernie Klein picked up the win to move to 1-1. John Hansen suffered the loss. Kelowna has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Leveque contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Kelowna in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 4-3, Leveque took a fastball from John Hansen and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Heat to leap in front, 7-4.
"We came out aggressive," said Heat manager Bob Cunningham. "We came out swinging the bats."
