Saints Bang Out 9-4 Win Versus Victoria
|
Trois-Rivieres center fielder Michael Noseworthy had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Victoria Capitals, 9-4. Trois-Rivieres reliever Roy Gamble picked up the win to move to 1-1. Bob Reusch suffered the loss. Avery Diamond was credited with the save for Trois-Rivieres, his 1st of the season.
The Saints got a big at-bat from first baseman Paul Marleau. For the game, Marleau went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Trois-Rivieres a 4-2 lead.
"We came out aggressive," said Saints manager Jason Raymond. "We came out swinging the bats."
Even with the win, the Saints have a dismal 3-12 record.
