London and Montreal duked it out at Hatchets Ballpark and the Monarchs came out victorious.
The London Monarchs topped the Montreal Royales, 4-2, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Hatchets Ballpark. The player of the game was London pitcher and Montreal, Canada native John Agnew. The save was Dave Austen's, his 2nd.
Kirk Valcourt, who is the 5th-best prospect in the Monarchs organization, aided the London cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We did enough to win," said Agnew.
London has a 3-game win streak, while Montreal has lost 4 in a row.
