Streaking Legends Win Another One
|
The Saskatoon Legends beat the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 8-3, at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The Legends got a fine performance from right fielder Rick Petzinger, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Legends.
Louie Lockyer hit a bases-clearing triple off Ralph Martell in the bottom of the first, which put the Legends in front, 3-0. Lockyer had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
Petzinger called the win "a collective effort."
