The Santa Fe Fuego wiggled past the Portland Beavers, 3-2, at The Fire House. Santa Fe pitcher Juan Mendoza earned player of the game honors. Santa Fe reliever Jun'ichi Suzuki picked up the win to move to 1-4. Olivier Martin suffered the loss. Santa Fe, at 38-40, occupies 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division.

Lance Adams, who leads the RCL in RBI with 59, chipped in for Santa Fe with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
