Late Rally by Legends Secures Win
|
Rick Petzinger was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Victoria Capitals. The right fielder was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs for the Saskatoon Legends. Brian Gunter locked down his 2nd save. The win gives Saskatoon a record of 5-4.
Carl Poulin, who is the 7th-best prospect in the Legends organization, chipped in for Saskatoon with a solo home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Victoria manager Bill Hilliard. "The effort was great."
