Stars Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Benefiting from Steve Bernard's productive game, the Niagara Stars downed the Kelowna Heat, 4-2. Bernard went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Stars. Niagara, now 4-2, has played well in the early going.
Bernard had a key at-bat for Niagara early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Niagara an early 2-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bernard said.
