Outlaws Roll Legends, 7-5
|
Dan Hodgson left his imprint on the 7-5 Calgary win against the Saskatoon Legends. Hodgson, who is the 10th-best prospect in the Outlaws organization, went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Calgary reliever Hugh Umlah was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Jonathan Horton took the loss for Saskatoon. Calgary, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Outlaws got a big at-bat from center fielder Graham Carmichael. For the game, Carmichael was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Calgary a 3-0 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Calgary manager Kiminobu Kamida.
