Dan Hodgson was instrumental in his team's 9-1 triumph over the London Monarchs. The first baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Calgary Outlaws. The win lifts Calgary to a record of 2-2.

Hodgson contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Calgary in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Hodgson took a fastball from Ricky Brown and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Outlaws to leap in front, 3-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hodgson said.
