Kavanagh Slugs Legends to 11-5 Win
|
The Saskatoon Legends defeated the London Monarchs, 11-5, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Hatchets Ballpark, with Saskatoon designated hitter Burt Kavanagh named player of the game. Zach Arrington earned the win for Saskatoon. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Saskatoon, at 3-0, is off to a blistering start.
Walt Gaudet aided the Saskatoon cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Kavanagh said.
