Dower, Heat Get 3-2 Win
|
Kelowna Heat starter Cary Dower turned in a top-notch performance against the Montreal Royales at Brantford College Grounds. The result was a win for the Heat, 3-2. The loss lowers the Montreal record to 1-1.
The Heat liked what they saw from Dower. The 20-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Royales to 1 earned run on 1 hit over 6.1 innings, and striking out 12.
"I threw strikes with all my pitches," said Dower. "I had them eating out of my hand."
