The London Monarchs topped the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 6-3, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Hatchets Ballpark. The player of the game was London first baseman Bruce Michaud. London, at 2-0, has sizzled in the early going.
Michaud had a key at-bat for London early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave London an early 4-0 lead.
Michaud attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
