Colonials Prevail, 6-4, Over Seattle
|
The New England Colonials trumped the Seattle Sasquatch, 6-4, at Sick's Stadium. New England left fielder Jacob Runk was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Juan Vázquez converted his 15th save in 18 tries. New England, at 34-41, occupies 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division.
Runk had a key at-bat for New England early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was his 39th hit of the season and gave New England an early 1-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Runk.
