Kansas Jayhawks starter Sterling Gutwein turned in a top-notch performance against the Auburn Tigers at Brutes Ballpark. The result was a win for the Jayhawks, 3-2. Auburn's current losing streak is now 6 games.

The Jayhawks beat the Tigers with some clutch hitting. The double by Doug Wilson in the bottom of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Wilson gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he came through with the big hit.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Auburn skipper Victor Rafferty.
