Golden Eagles Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus TCU
|
Aaron Tarter left his imprint on the 6-2 South Mississippi win against the TCU Horned Frogs. Tarter, who is tied for 10th in the RDL in hits with 59, went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. George Fawns, the winner, improved to 3-4. He held TCU to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The Golden Eagles bumped their record to 26-19 with this latest triumph.
Fernando Duran, who is rated as the 90th best prospect by BNN, aided the South Mississippi cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk.
