Commodores Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Commodores had to overcome a good performance from South Carolina pitcher Curtis Simpson to claim a 8-5 win at Scandals Ballpark. Simpson went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Commodores bumped their record to 22-21 with this latest triumph.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Matt Strickland came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing South Carolina pitcher A.J. Galloway, he hit a 1-1 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Vanderbilt on top, 6-5.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Strickland.
